Dr Morgan O’Brien
A well respected General Medical Practitioner with a Bachelor of Medicine from University College Cork, Ireland as well as complimentary specialised qualifications focused on the health industry, Dr. Morgan Augustine O’Brien has owned and operated successful medical centres since 1978 in his home town of the Gold Coast, Australia.
In the 1990s, Chairman O’Brien saw the potential for growth in the microbial field and provided seed capital for probiotic enterprises focused on waste and wastewater remediation initially, ultimately encouraging the pursuit of other microbial applications including soil and gut health and the expansion beyond Australia.
In 2006 Dr Morgan was the co-founder of Micro-Biologic, which developed these microbial technologies in collaboration with Multikraft International for the extreme conditions in the Middle East and Asia. This relationship with Multikraft internationally was the genesis for Multikraft Probiotics Australia and its expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.
Dr Morgan’s medical knowledge and expertise developed over more than 40 years, coupled with his extraordinary work ethic and generous nature are invaluable to the continuing success of Multikraft.
Chief Executive Officer
An agile and transformational leader, with diverse management skills and cross-cultural expertise, acquired whilst living and working in contrasting international environments (including Australia, The Middle East, Asia and Europe).
Conor has been involved with several successful start-up businesses, including environmental companies in Australia, Asia and the Middle East, as well as some innovative niche markets including the Australian communication’s sector, building up Expresscom Business Solutions from its inception in 2000 in South East Queensland, to have a presence across the East Coast of Australia as its Executive Director, and subsequently as the Sales Director and owner of House of Telecommunications (HOT), the exclusive Vodafone Business Partner for the region.
After returning to his true passion of the environment in 2006, Conor was the Founding Director and CEO of Micro-Biologic Pty Ltd, working with probiotic treatments for wastewater, odour control, animal husbandry and large scale waste reuse and composting internationally. Conor generated business through relationships developed whilst living in the Middle east with some of the largest companies in the region, including SABIC (The largest Public Company in Saudi), ARASCO foods and The Arriyadh Development Authority (Saudi Government) and also in Asia, with prestigious companies, including TATA in India.
Conor has studied Marine Biology at James Cook University, Health Science and Microbiology at Griffith University, and has an Executive MBA from Bond University.
Executive Vice President & Chief Technical Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of Multikraft International and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Multikraft Probiotics Australia, Lukas has more than 20 years experience with probiotic microorganisms across more than 25 countries. He is recognised as a leader in this field internationally. His knowledge, experience and expertise are well beyond his years, having successfully grown this family business with it roots in stock feed, to now encompass environmental sustainability and health on a global scale.
His position as Chief Technical Officer of Multikraft Probiotics Australia, gives the business access to worlds-best-practice and the very latest in cutting edge technology and the subsequent advances that this provides across the full environmental spectrum.
Chairman – Argent Australia Pty Ltd
Lachlan Macfarlane is a successful well-established business owner and investor with multiple commercial and agricultural interests based in Queensland. He is the Chairman of Argent Australia, a business which his parents started in 1958 and has grown it to become a leading importer and distributor of world-renowned bathroom products with the head office in Brisbane. Lachlan is also a successful property developer with his boutique development company focused on well-designed high-quality mixed use and commercial developments. Lachlan’s lifelong passion is long term sustainable farming and farming practices. This passion has led Lachlan to not only investing but being a strong and involved member of the executive teams for several horticulture and agriculture interests. They include sustainable farming, sustainable farming technology companies, production, marketing, and distribution of quality agricultural products both nationally and internationally.
Partner – BDO Australia
Dylan Byrne is a long-standing partner and head of Business Services at BDO Brisbane. Dylan assists SMEs with strategic planning with a particular focus on expanding business who are seeking to bring on investors and fresh capital to help fund this growth. This process also assists growing businesses to tap into assistance from the State Government, via the strong relationships that exist between the Department of State Development and BDO. Dylan and his team have assisted Multikraft Probiotics Australia with this process which culminated in a successful Phase 1 capital raising in FY18. Dylan has also been glad to assist with the implementation of MPA’s strategy and has recently joined the company’s Advisory Board. Dylan is a CPA, and a member of the AICD.
Craig Van Rooyen
Owner/Director – Sweet Sensations Farms
Craig grew up in Natal, South Africa. After school, Craig attended Cedara Agricultural College, graduating after two years. He then worked in the Sugar Industry, where his family were 2nd generation Cane Farmers on the Umfolozi Flats in Zululand, as a Chemicals Consultant. He married Barbara Cloete and in 1998 they emigrated to Australia where he bought a 110 acre cattle farm on Walkers Rd., South Bingera.
He originally farmed strawberries and lady finger bananas while his orchards were being established and now has 8000 macadamias, 5000 lychees, plus mangos and avocados. He has served on the BFVG Board for a couple of years and is currently Chairman of BFVG Orchardist Sub-Committee. Craig believes there is a great future for Bundaberg farmers if their produce is marketed effectively both in Australia and abroad.
Owner/Director – Ag Plus Consultancy
Tim O’Dea is an advocate for Multikraft and shareholder, and CEO of Ag Plus Consultancy.
Ag Plus is a chemical, fertiliser, compost and bio management supply company in the
Bundaberg, Gayndah and Mundubbera districts. Ag Plus Consultancy supplies all horticultural inputs. Ag Plus’s approach to thinking outside the box, combining chemical and biological methods has led to increased uptake and client successes. The use of microorganisms is opening up new opportunities in composting and soil/foliar applications. The business’s footprint has become quite significant, with Ag Plus Consultancy now looking after millions of trees and more than 10,000 hectares of horticultural crops.
Chief Operating Officer
Terry’s career as CEO and Managing Director includes postings to the USA, Canada and New Zealand, giving him experience in many regulatory environments and in leading diverse workforces.
His roles as Chief Executive Officer at Craggy Range Vineyards for nine years, Managing Director of Transpacific Industries (now Cleanaway) for 15 years and Chief Operating Officer of Orion Bus Industries Limited (Canada) for three years, equips him with a strong skill set in sectors covering Industrial Processing, Export, Agribusiness, Transport and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM).
Terry’s education in accounting (Queensland University of Technology), combined with his work history, provides him with a strong skill set in strategic growth planning, business development, cost control and forensic accounting. His experience in strategic marketing and sales team leadership will be an asset to the Multikraft team.
Director of Technical Support
Bill’s diverse experience in agriculture both as a 5th generation farmer and a consultant providing crop nutrition and agronomy advice stretches over 25 years. In 2003 he was awarded the prestigious Australian Young Farmer of the Year and in 2009 completed the Australian Grain Growers Association Leadership program. Throughout his career, Bill has collaborated extensively with leading soil and plant scientists, Landcare and governing bodies, developing solutions to improve productivity and sustainability across a diverse range of agricultural systems.
In 2013, Bill was offered a lucrative position as General Manager of a boutique rice company in Mauritius. The role entailed commercialising an integrated rice operation including production, processing and packaging for export markets.
Whilst in Mauritius, Bill also trialed alternative crops such as corn, chickpea and wheat in collaboration with University of Mauritius and Mauritius Research Council, as well as advisory services to commercial business operations in dairy, sugarcane and horticulture both in Mauritius and Africa with a focus on sustainability and production by empowering locals with knowledge and support.
In 2015, Bill returned to Australia with his wife and 2 children to take up position of Director of Technical Support, Multikraft Probiotics Australia. Bill has a passion for sustainable agriculture, environmental protection and human health/welfare issues in particular emerging economies.
Business Development Manager
Scott grew up on the family property just outside Dalby on the Darling Downs, working with cattle, pigs and cropping. From his father’s early adoption of Zero Till, to his role as Manager within the Pork Industries Quality Assurance Program, his use of probiotics in piggeries during the late 1990’s/early 2000’s, and his work with regulatory, and research & development companies, Scott has developed his ability to look ‘outside the norm’ and provide alternatives that support progressive healthier farming systems.
Since leaving the family property Scott stays in contact with his farming roots and is always willing to go that extra mile. Scott gains the most satisfaction listening and working with clients whether it be brainstorming ‘left-field’ ideas or trialling and implementing new systems
Scott’s in-field experience and understanding of the intensive industries holds him in good stead for taking Multikraft Probiotics to these industries and ensuring a positive experience for all involved.
Business Development Manager
Michael is a Brisbane based sales consultant with a passion for Agriculture. Having completed his Bachelor of Agribusiness in 2018, Michael went to work in the agricultural machinery industry at Chesterfield Goondiwindi, selling John Deere machinery and equipment. He thrives on building relationships with farmers and contributing to local and regional communities.
Since then, Michael has traded green tractors for green solutions, recognizing the importance and effectiveness that probiotics can have on the future of Australian farming. Michael believes that with a tailored solution to every farmer, Multikraft can help provide a safer and healthier environment for all Australian producers.

Barworth Research Ltd, United Kingdom (Head of Research and Development)
Currently, Andy is technical director of Barworth Research Ltd and has worked with Multikraft Austria for 10 years as an independent consultant. Apart from his time at Rothamsted Research as a research scientist and project leader, Andy’s past experience includes R and D manager for a large potato growing and packing company; share farming a UK dairy farm; agricultural extension and rural development in the Middle East.
Brian is the Managing Director of MacroBoost, and a specialist in environmental formulations for agriculture, bio-remediation & waste water treatment.
